Bach's team of engineers consider the F attachment as a vital component that contributes to the overall tone ? an attitude that's not shared by some of the other major manufacturers. Bach opted for an open wrap instead of the traditional closed wrap that has a reputation for choking tone and making it nigh on impossible to hit a C2 without using pedal tones. The open wrap and large bore diameter of 0.547 inches facilitate a playing experience that feels like the attachment isn’t even there.
