F attachment with open wrap





Bach's team of engineers consider the F attachment as a vital component that contributes to the overall tone ? an attitude that's not shared by some of the other major manufacturers. Bach opted for an open wrap instead of the traditional closed wrap that has a reputation for choking tone and making it nigh on impossible to hit a C2 without using pedal tones. The open wrap and large bore diameter of 0.547 inches facilitate a playing experience that feels like the attachment isn’t even there. You’ll appreciate the ergonomically placed standard rotor valve and the spot-on intonation provided by the separate tuning slide.





1-piece, hand-hammered bell





Bach fitted the 42BO with a 1-piece bell made of yellow brass. It flares out to an impressive 8.5 inches for robust projection needed in big band and pit band settings. Bach: the professional choice





Often copied but never truly imitated, Bach trombones are the choice of players worldwide. Vincent Bach founded Bach brass in 1918 after a mouthpiece repair went wrong. By 1928, Bach introduced trombones into his lineup. Bach’s famous trombone designs stemmed from a combination of his musical know-how and engineering talent. He successfully identified what he needed from a trombone and set about creating an instrument that could solve the unique issues experienced by trombone players ? and he never looked back. More than a century later, Bach instruments are proudly crafted in Elkhart, Indiana, to the same lofty standards as those from the ’20s and ’30s.
