The Bach 411 tenor trombone is much more than a humble step-up trigger trombone. It’s a meticulously designed performance instrument packed with professional features. First and foremost is the open-wrap F attachment. Bach knows just how impactful wind resistance can be, so they engineered the open wrap to alleviate any extra resistance introduced by the attachment. You’ll appreciate the smooth and quiet action of the standard rotor valve. Speaking of smooth, the main slide is made from well-balanced yellow brass with a nickel-silver crook for extra vibrancy. Final tone shaping is carried out by an incredibly responsive 2-piece, 8.5-inch, yellow brass bell. Add up all the features, and you get a horn that’s responsive, resonant, and incredibly fun to play!

After the mouthpiece, the leadpipe is one of the most prominent factors that determines an instrument’s tonal characteristics and feel. The Bach 411 offers a removable leadpipe, a feature that’s noticeably absent in many other trombone designs. That’s important because you can customize the feel of your trombone! If you need more resistance, you can get a new leadpipe to compensate. For a darker sound, grab a slow tapering leadpipe. For brighter jazz work, load in your fast tapering leadpipe. Often copied but never truly imitated, Bach trombones are the choice of players worldwide. Vincent Bach founded Bach brass in 1918 after a mouthpiece repair went wrong. By 1928, Bach introduced trombones into his lineup. Bach’s famous trombone designs stemmed from a combination of his musical know-how and engineering talent. He successfully identified what he needed from a trombone and set about creating an instrument that could solve the unique issues experienced by trombone players ? and he never looked back.
